Brighton & Hove Albion 2-0 Exeter City
Andrew Crofts let Brighton to a victory over relegation rivals Exeter – Brighton’s first at home since October.
Andy Marriott injured his neck in the warm-up - either that or his hamstring, depending on which part of the Exeter official site you read. Really Exeter, if you can’t tell the difference between a neck and a hamstring, no wonder you’re in the bottom four. Andy wanted to play but his manager decided not to take the risk. Somehow I think that might have been a mistake.
Stuart Fleetwood also started off on the bench but he came on to replace Richard Duffy. Stuart believes Exeter will stay up. Rob Edwards admits Exeter are in a bit of trouble but he thinks the return of Adam Stansfield from injury will make a big difference for them.
Bristol Rovers 3-2 Colchester United
A win for Colchester would have kept them in third ahead of Charlton but Bristol Rovers popped up with a surprise win, as they do sometimes. Charlton might well be very sympathetic to Colchester as they suffered the same fate two weeks ago but they’d probably be rubbing their hands in glee at the same time.
Byron Anthony overcame a knee injury to take his place in the starting line-up with Ben Swallow coming off the bench. Lee Beevers and Christian Ribeiro were both missing for Colchester with injury but Christian is apparently not far off.
