Welsh Player News (and rumours) Championship

Breaking news, Lewin Nyatanga has been spotted at Cheltenham Town’s training ground! But no need to worry, Bristol City fans. He’s only doing his Level 2 coaching course there.

Cardiff City haven’t given up hope of signing Craig Bellamy – despite the fact they think it’s impossible. Manchester City manager Roberto Mamcini has apparently invited Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Redknapp to make a bid for him.

Neil Ardley, the man in charge of Cardiff City’s Academy, believes Adam Matthews and Aaron Wildig were rushed into Cardiff’s first team too soon. Current Academy players include Adam’s cousins Liam and Sam although they’re a long way from the first team, even if they make their debuts at seventeen like Adam. A poster on Cardiff City Online says Adam also plays cricket

Robbie Savage is loving being a pundit. And he is good at it. He can even get away with supporting New Zealand against Italy. It was a big mean of him though. You’re supposed to support the underdog and that isn’t New Zealand anymore. New Zealand finished above Italy and could yet end the tournament as the only team to remain unbeaten.

Gary Speed is one of the contenders to manage Hull City.

Andy King doesn’t thnk any of his Leicester City team-mates will want to leave following their play-off semi-final defeat. But Nicky Adams (who would also be his Wales team-mate if John Toshack picked him) is just one Leicester player to attract the attention of another club – in his case, Brentford.

Shaun MacDonald says he will sign a new contract with Swansea City and do his best to become a first-team regular.

Newport County manager Dean Holdsworth seems to like Swansea City’s Kerry Morgan. Kerry helped Newport into the Blue Square Premier and now Holdworth wants him back on loan for next season. Kerry however would like to see if he can get into Swansea’s team first.
