Gary will announce the squad for Wales’ match against the Republic of Ireland on 31st January.

Former Welsh international Carl Robinson has been helping the Wales under-16 team and having a laugh with the senior team manager.

says he won’t play for Wales again but he is interested in a coaching role.

Harry Redknapp’s concern that Gareth Bale might burn out has been taken as a warning that perhaps he shouldn’t play in Wales’ upcoming matches.

Vital Cardiff City name Steve Morison as a Player to Watch when they take on Millwall at the weekend. They describe him as ‘annoying’ but I think it’s a compliment.

Leicester City manager Paolo Sousa believes Andy King is a future Leicester City captain – even though he is a bit quiet. The 21 year old got to wear the armband in Leicester’s Carling Cup victory over Portsmouth. He didn’t play the full match but he obviously did something right because Leicester won.

The Peterborough United players have offered to spend one afternoon next month working for a local business. Peterborough Today suggests possible jobs for players including Arron Davies.

The excellent Hereford United blog Bulls News reports that former Welsh international Carl Robinson, now playing alongside Thierry Henry for the New York Bulls, says he’d consider joining Hereford United.
