Burton Albion v Grimsby Town
Last week, Burton beat the club in second place. This week, they finish the club who’s second bottom. Grimsby really need a win to survive although a draw will be fine if Barnet lose 7-0 or something. The team Burton beat last week, Rochdale, play Barnet this week.
Tony James is the Players’ Player of the Year and the Supporters’ Player of the Year for Burton. He’s hoping Burton can aim for the play-offs next season.
Cheltenham Town v Accrington Stanley
Cheltenham should be fine too unless they get seriously thrashed. Accrington still have a chance of a top-half finish.
Josh Low could be playing his last match for Cheltenham. Josh is about to qualify as a lawyer and he’s been offered a job in that profession.
Chesterfield v Bournemouth
Chesterfield could get into the play-offs if they win this match. Bournemouth are already promoted but considering Rochdale are playing Barnet, they might need a win in order to hang on to second place.
Robert Page seems to be in and out of Chesterfield’s starting line-up all the time at the moment so I won’t predict where he’ll be. Mark Crossley will probably be on the bench though.
Rhoys Wiggins has left Bournemouth – for now, anyway – after his loan spell to the end of the season turned out not to be until the end of the season after all. Joe Partington is still there though.
Crewe Alexandra v Bradford City
Bradford still have a very very faint chance of finishing in the top half but Crewe don’t. The former Championship and Premier League sides will be hoping for a better season next time. And Bradford, certainly look like they’re going to get it.
Michael Flynn will be in midfield for Bradford. He is out of contract at the end of the season and was probably told today whether he has a future with Bradford or not.
Darlington v Dagenham & Redbridge
Dagenham & Redbridge need to win to be sure of a play-off spot although a draw could be enough. However, relegated Darlington seem to be enjoying playing their part in seeing who goes into the play-offs and who goes down.
Tony Roberts will be in goal for Dagenham.
Hereford United v Rotherham United
Rotherham might rest some players to keep them fresh for the play-offs so Hereford might grab the opportunity to put some more points between themselves and the relegation zone.
Ryan Green, Ryan Valentine and Darren Jones will probably all start. Craig Jones could be on the bench again. So if you’re a Welshman and your name is Ryan or Jones, you might like to consider a move to Hereford next season. I’m sure they wouldn’t mind having Ryan Giggs in the side.
