Rhoys Wiggins might not necessarily be the first names on the team-sheet – I always tend to write the goalkeeper’s name first. But his isn’t a name you’re going to leave off the team-sheet.

Brentford H 3-1 (played all)

Joe Partington returned from a loan spell at Eastbourne Borough, where he scored goals, got sent off and returned to his parent club with a knock. But he hasn’t been in Bournemouth’s squad since his return.

Brentford
Nicky Adams returned to Brentford when his loan spell came to an end but he only stayed long enough to sort out a permanent move to Rochdale.

Bristol Rovers
Byron Anthony’s Christmas wish was probably to score no own goals, and miss no penalties. And he didn’t do any of those things. But neither did he win a match.

Eliot Richards has spent most of the season on the bench but he played a part in Bristol Rovers’ defeat to Milton Keynes Dons before getting his second start of the season against Plymouth Argyle. Not to mention his first assist.

Jason Price was at Bradford City over Christmas and there was talk of his extending his loan spell again but he came back to Carlisle instead.

Colchester United
Colchester played only two of their Christmas matches but they marked a first and second starts of the season for Lee Beevers.

Lloyd James had already started twice this season but only in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy and Carling Cup. Now he has two in the league to add to them. (Let’s not mention the penalty.)
