League One Results 28th September 2010 Part 1

Bournemouth 3-0 Exeter City
Bournemouth continued their excellent start to the season with a 3-0 victory over Exeter City which took them to 2nd in League One. Exeter have also started well and will be disappointed to lose by three clear goals.
Rhoys Wiggins played well in Bournemouth’s defence.
Richard Duffy was replaced after 38 minutes and it looks as though it wasn’t an injury, just an effort to get their worst player off the pitch. Poor Richard. Maybe that’s even worse than being a subbed sub. Rob Edwards was on the bench but Daniel Nardiello missed out with a knock.

Brighton & Hove Albion 1-0 Brentford
Brighton stay at the top of the table after victory over struggling Brentford. Brentford were very lucky only to concede one goal, this mainly being down to their goalkeeper.
Nicky Adams played the last ten minutes for Brentford.

Bristol Rovers 0-1 Tranmere Rovers
What did I say about Bristol Rovers? Anything can happen. Including being beaten by a struggling side like Tranmere. Tranmere deserved it too.
Byron Anthony played the full match for Tranmere. Eliot Richards was on the bench.

Charlton Athletic 1-0 Milton Keynes Dons
Charlton started the season well, then faltered again but now they’re back on a winning run and beat Milton Keynes Dons, who haven’t won since they played Hartlepool United.
Jermaine Easter was dropped to the bench for MK Dons but he did get on the field after 58 minutes. No goal, however, was forthcoming.

Colchester United 2-2 Dagenham & Redbridge
Colchester kept their unbeaten record intact while Dag & Red claimed a deserve equaliser, not to mention a valuable away point, in the 72nd minute.
Lloyd James was an unused substitute for Colchester.
Tony Roberts was in goal for Dag & Red.

Hartlepool United 0-4 Carlisle United
Hartlepool stayed out of the relegation zone despite being thrashed 4-0 by Carlisle, who move up to third in the table.
Jason Price stayed on the bench for Carlisle.

Leyton Orient 0-0 Walsall
Walsall lost their last six matches so they’ll be especially glad to get this point. Orient are only out of the relegation zone on goal difference and will be disappointed not to win after being the better side in the first half.
Sean Geddes was on the bench for Walsall.
