Premier League Results 16th October 2010 Part 2

Manchester United 2-2 West Bromwich Albion
I thought West Brom would go straight back down again this year but for now they’re looking like Champions’ League material. And why not? Bolton are an established Premier League side now, Birmingham look like they could be around for a while too so why not West Brom? It didn’t look likely when Man Utd went 2-0 up after 25 minutes but West Brom manager Roberto di Matteo had never lost at Old Trafford before this match and he wasn’t about to start now.
Ryan Giggs started for Man Utd for the first time since suffering a hamstring injury but he went of after 42 minutes when his hamstring started playing up again. He could be out for even longer this time. Michael Owen missed out with a calf injury. Or a groin injury.
Boaz Myhill was on the bench for West Brom.

Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-1 West Ham United
I find Mick McCarthy unlikeable and I really like Danny Murphy. But I have to say, McCarthy’s response to Murphy’s comments on Wolves’ playing style did make me smile. A lot. And I’d love to see McCarthy and Murphy on Match of the Day together. It could be interesting.
Dave Edwards and David Jones both started for Wolves and it was a move from David that led to Wolves’ goal. Both Davids came close to scoring. Wayne Hennessey was on the bench.
Danny Gabbidon kept his place in West Ham’s starting line-up.
