Welsh Player News 16th September 2010 (League One)

Rhoys Wiggins has got the taste for goals after scoring his first ever in the league – and getting two assists too. You could describe it as losing his cherry.

Dagenham & Redbridge goalkeeper Tony Roberts is no longer the only keeper to score from open play in the FA Cup. Congratulations and Happy Birthday to Sam Styles. I don’t suppose you’re Welsh?

Jermaine Easter might not have scored in the league but he’s still the August Citizens’ Player of the Month. And as for Crystal Palace, that low-down Championship side who dared to make a bid for Jermaine…

Byron Anthony feels Bristol Rovers need to start winning.

Lloyd James was one of the scorers as Colchester United’s reserves beat Ipswich Town’s reserves 3-1. Tom Bender was also in the winning team. Troy Brown played for Ipswich.2

Richard Duffy is out to stop Peterborough United from adding to the 16 goals they’ve scored so far.

Yeovil Town were one of four League One clubs interested in taking Bristol City’s Gavin Williams on loan. Yeovil won. Hopefully they’ll also win when it comes to playing those clubs at football. Gavin thinks Yeovil are stronger than they were when was on loan there last season.

Shaun MacDonald says he’s more focused on helping Yeovil than showing Swansea City what he can do.
