Brentford v Huddersfield Town
Huddersfield are likely to stay in the play-offs even if they lose and Colchester United win but it would put Colchester right back in contention.
Brentford’s Lewis Price could be a victim of the ‘five loanee’ rule again.
Brighton & Hove Albion v Carlisle United
A win for Brighton could put them ahead of Carlisle on goal difference as the two teams fight for a place in the top half of the table.
Andrew Crofts missed Brighton’s last match for family reasons but he’ll be back for this game. Millwall loanee Jason Price will probably start for Carlisle.
Colchester United v Swindon Town
Colchester’s poor run of form has seen drop them out of the play-off places and their goal difference means they are unlikely to get back in even if they win and Huddersfield Town lose. And with Swindon Town on excellent form, Colchester’s chances of winning can’t be huge. But we can hope.
Thomas Bender wasn’t on Colchester’s bench for the last match but maybe he will be this time. Lee Beevers is probably still out with a knee injury.
As doe Swindon, Billy Bodin might be on the bench again if we’re lucky.
Exeter City v Leyton Orient
Both these teams are currently out of the relegation places but it’s a relegation clash all the same. Orient are only out of the bottom four on goal difference while Exeter are just three points clear of safety.
Richard Duffy is the only Welsh player who looks certain to play (so I bet he won’t play now, just to make me look silly). Stuart Fleetwood started the last match after his supersub appearance the week before but didn’t find the back of the net this time while Andy Marriott has been spending matches on the bench on recent games. Rob Edwards has a hamstring injury and is a doubt.
Leeds United v Southend United
Leeds could still win automatic promotion but they need to halt a dire run of form. A match against struggling Southend would seem to be a good place to start but Leeds have lost quite a few matches to teams in difficulty.
Sanchez Watt could get his first start for Leeds since joining on loan from Arsenal. Earlier this season he had a loan spell with this week’s opponents. Sanchez played for Leeds Reserves this week and had a hand in three of their four goals.
Norwich City v Milton Keynes Dons
Norwich aren’t promoted yet but it shouldn’t be long now. MK Dons in theory could still get into the play-offs but I won’t hold my breath.
Norwich have some injury problems but I bet they’ll leave Owain Tudur Jones out of the squad again. Jermaine Easter will be hoping to keep his place in MK Dons’ starting line-up despite his penalty miss.
