Championship Fixtures 3rd April Part 2

Coventry City v Derby County
Another week, another midlands derby for, er, Derby, who really need another three points just to make sure.
Freddy Eastwood has a back injury and won’t play for Coventry – how cruel that he’s getting all these injuries after finally finding his form. Derby probably need Robbie Savage but they might not be able to play the old man for both their Easter fixtures.

Doncaster Rovers v Plymouth Argyle
Doncaster and Plymouth could be two divisions apart this season, as Doncaster remain within shouting distance of the play-offs and Plymouth continue to look doomed.
Gareth Roberts and John Oster are likely to play for Doncaster but there’s no news on Brian Stock. The last I heard, he was progressing well after having an injection on his bac
Carl Fletcher missed Plymouth’s last match with a knee injury and has only a small chance of returning to face Doncaster.

Ipswich Town v Reading
Both these sides have come a long way since being in the bottom three near the beginning of the season. Ipswich’s discovery of how to win a game is likely to prove crucial, Ipswich being just six points clear of danger. Reading, ten points behind the play-offs but with two games in hand, have their eye on the top six.
Simon Church could be on the bench for Reading as the other strikers are doing too well.

Middlesbrough v Crystal Palace
Middlesbrough look very unlikely to win promotion back to the Premier League but Palace could yet save themselves from League One.
Danny Coyne will probably be on the bench for Middlesbrough but Boro’s Got Talent judge Rhys Williams is likely to start.

Peterborough United v Newcastle United

Peterborough’s relegation could be confirmed this weekend if they lose to League leaders Newcastle and other results don’t go their way. And this match could also see Newcastle guaranteed promotion back to the top flight.
Peterborough’s Craig Morgan is still out with an ankle injury.

Scunthorpe United v Blackpool
This game was played on Friday instead.
