Premier League Fixtures 3rd April Part 1

Arsenal v Wolverhampton Wanderers
A draw with Birmingham City last week wasn’t the result Arsenal needed but most pundits felt they could afford to drop two points. Well they’ve dropped them now and it’s got to be win-win-win from now on.
Small problem: Arsenal are very short of players. Joining Aaron Ramsey on the sidelines is Cesc Fabregas, who has cracked his fibula. William Gallas is also out for the season. Suddenly I’m very glad Arsenal signed Sol Campbell although signing Carles Puyol might have been even better (or it would have been if Puyol wasn’t cup-tied in Europe).
Wolves are also missing their two best players – but they’ve been missing them all season and it doesn’t seem to have done them any harm. They have new best players now and perhaps even people other than I could make a case for David Jones, who has been in great form - on and off the pitch. David took part in Wolves’ April Fools joke yesterday.
Dave Edwards apparently could feature but they said that last week. And the week before. Sam Vokes is expected to return to the bench this week. Wayne Hennessey however I expect to be on the bench and I’m quite glad about that because the last thing Arsenal need is to face a really good goalkeeper.

Bolton Wanderers v Aston Villa
Aston Villa need to bounce back from their thrashing by Chelsea last week if they’re to have any hope of Champions’ League football. Bolton however have been going well under Owen Coyle.
It seems as though both teams have half their squad out but Bolton’s Sam Ricketts doesn’t seem to be injured although he does have competition for the right back position.
James Collins, according to Yanks Abroad, could return to West Ham’s starting line-up but I think they've got a bit confused as James definitely plays for Aston Villa. James had a knock yesterday but is not featuring on injury lists today.

Burnley v Manchester City
Burnley’s survival hopes rest on a return to their excellent home form at the beginning of the season. Roberto Mancini’s survival hopes possibly rest on Manchester City’s getting Champions’ League football.
Craig Bellamy will probably play for Manchester City.
