League Two Fixtures 9th February

Bournemouth v Notts County
Bournemouth have been going very well, particularly since being joined by Rhoys Wiggins on loan. But now they face a test in Notts County who have scored more goals than anyone except Rochdale. Not to mention that they’ve just knocked Wigan Athletic out of the FA Cup. Bournemouth are a very good team though, despite having an injury list longer than some hospitals with Joe Partington just one of the players they have missing. Just because they can’t fill their substitutes’ bench, it doesn’t mean they can’t win.

Bury v Macclesfield Town

Macclesfield might bring Matthew Tipton into the starting line-up as they seem to have a bit of a problem with scoring more goals than the opposition. Or sometimes just scoring goals at all. But I haven’t read anything to suggest they might. That’s just what I’d do.

Cheltenham Town v Burton Albion

Josh Low will probably play for Cheltenham with Tony James in Burton’s starting line-up.

Northampton Town v Accrington Stanley
Peter Gilbert has an injury and Northampton won’t make a decision about him until the last minute (which is pretty much now). Accrington Stanley are now officially play-off hopefuls (they said so on Late Kick-Off) but Northampton actually aren’t that far from the play-offs themselves. They have played loads of games though.

Port Vale v Chesterfield
Lewis Haldane has served his one-match suspension so he’ll return to the side and probably to the starting line-up too as Port Vale missed him on Saturday. I would also except Craig Davies and Gareth Owen but naughty Gareth has been given an extra yellow card. It was shown to a different player during the Hereford match but after a successful appeal it’s been given to Gareth instead.
Chesterfield will probably put Robert Page in defence and leave Mark Crossley on the bench.

Rotherham United v Dagenham & Redbridge
Rotherham continue their automatic promotion bid against stuttering Dagenham & Redbridge. Tony Roberts will probably be in goal for Dag & Red unless they decide to replace him but I think he’s good really so I’d keep him in, it’s not always the goalkeeper’s fault if the team keeps losing. Owain fon Williams is a brilliant goalkeeper but he can’t save Stockport from relegation, probably not even Boaz Myhill could do that.

Shrewsbury Town v Barnet

Will Richards could keep his place on the bench as he was on the bench at the weekend and Shrewbury just happened to win.
