Stoke City 1-1 Manchester City
It happened in the FA Cup and now it’s happened again in the League. It’s official – Stoke City are just as good as Manchester City. Manchester City were however missing the injured Craig Bellamy, whose knee often does seem to play up when there’s a Wales friendly on the horizon. I’m not doubting Craig’s commitment to Wales, not at all, I’m just doubting his knee’s commitment.
But Stoke were also missing a player – they played most of the second half with ten men. Ryan Shawcross had a stoppage-time goal ruled out as the referee though he’d fouled the keeper. Ryan didn’t think so and even after watching a video of the incident, he still doesn’t think he fouled him.
Danny Collins started off on the bench as usual but he came on for the second half.
