Barnet 1-1 Cheltenham Town
Josh Low got the assist for Cheltenham’s goal but Barnet equalised just fifteen minutes later and neither side could find a winner. But Cheltenham are unbeaten in five away games which really isn’t bad.
Bradford City 0-0 Grimsby Town
Michael Flynn came close to getting a goal – and a win – for Bradford with a free kick but it wasn’t to be. He thinks the club need a tough manager who’s capable of giving a few players a rocket up their backsides.
Chesterfield 1-0 Bury
Chesterfield’s win consolidated their position in the play-offs and the fact they’ve taken points off the third-placed team can only be encouraging. Robert Page played the full match in Chesterfield’s defence and Mark Crossley was on the bench.
Dagenham & Redbridge 1-0 Bournemouth
Dagenham’s excellent victory over second-placed Bournemouth could have reignited their play-off hopes – they have played more games than the teams immediately above them but they’re still only three points away. Tony Roberts’ good performance in the Dagenham goal actually meant something this time but Bournemouth loan defender Rhoys Wiggins will be disappointed to have ended his unbeaten run. Joe Partington was still absent with a back injury but Bournemouth were able to name five whole substitutes. Which is probably enough really. They’re only allowed five for Johnstone’s Paint Trophy games.
Macclesfield Town 0-0 Accrington Stanley
Matthew Tipton stayed on the bench as Macclesfield got a point and a clean sheet against play-off contenders Accrington.
