League One News 21st November

Brentford 1-1 Walsall
Lewis Price asked Brentford to get another goalkeeper to provide competition from him. Brentford took him a bit too literally and got Arsenal’s twenty year old goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny. I bet Lewis wished he kept his big mouth shut. He must have got into a bit of a strop about it as he didn’t even make the bench. [Actually he had flu.]
Brentford’s James Wilson is said to have been at fault for Walsall’s goal but I’m sure he wasn’t really. Mark Bradley and Rhys Weston played for Walsall and Mark nearly scored.

Brighton & Hove Albion 0-3 Leeds United
Sam Vokes made it home from Bosnia in time for Leeds and played 83 minutes of the win. He came close to scoring but I bet Andrew Crofts (who played the whole match for Brighton) and Craig Davies (who came on as a substitute) are glad he didn’t.

Bristol Rovers 2-1 Gillingham
Bristol Rovers took all three points as Byron Anthony played the full match with Ben Swallow coming on as a substitute. Rhys Evans stayed on the bench. It must be depressing sometimes being the substitute goalkeeper.

Leyton Orient 2-1 Tranmere Rovers
Orient got their revenge after Tranmere knocked them out of the FA Cup just a few days ago. Ash Taylor got a goal in the FA Cup but could only manage a yellow card in the league. But very few people are perfect and those that are are usually boring.

Millwall 0-2 Wycombe Wanderers
Jason Price played the full match and Millwall ended up losing a home game for the first time this season. He nearly scored but the assistant referee thought he was offside.
