League Two Results November 24th

Bournemouth 0-0 Dagenham & Redbridge
I was very excited when I realised yesterday that Dagenham’s goalkeeper Roberts is Welshman Tony Roberts. I wonder how many others I might have missed? Tony kept a clean sheet against a Bournemouth side who left Joe Partington on the bench.

Bury 2-1 Chesterfield
Daniel Nardiello played for Bury for the first 83 minutes. The Bury Times gave him a more than respectable 7 out of 10 for his performance. Danny had a few shots on goal but couldn’t score this time. Goalkeeper Mark Crossley was on the bench for Chesterfield – so he didn’t score either.

Cheltenham Town 5-1 Barnet
Josh Low made at least one clearance as Cheltenham thrashed Barnet.

Hereford United 2-1 Shrewsbury Town

Ryan Green played in defence for Hereford, who conceded a goal but took the three points. Shrewsbury seem to have at least four Welsh players on their books but goalkeeper Glyn Garner has a shoulder injury and the rest are teenagers.
Emdaf Jones I’m not sure about. Apparently he left Shrewsbury following an incident in the showers (really?!) but there are also reports of him ‘returning’ to Shrewsbury so maybe they let back him in on condition he doesn’t wash.

Port Vale 2-2 Torquay United
Gareth Owen and Lewis Haldane both started for Port Vale but Gareth was replaced after 42 minutes after he hurt his fractured cheekbone. He’s seen a specialist and is set to have an operation on Friday. I hope they manage to sort it out for you, Gareth.
Lewis nearly scored quite a few goals.

Rotherham United 2-0 Lincoln City
Lincoln’s Anthony Pulis lasted just seven minutes before he was forced off with an ankle injury. He is back with parent club Southampton getting it checked over. No news yet but I hope it’s not too serious.
