Championship Results 12th December Part 2

Reading 1-1 Scunthorpe United
Simon Church was hoping to play for Reading but his back must have been playing up (unlike Reading).

Sheffield United 2-0 Crystal Palace
Ched Evans didn’t have a hand in either goal but as this is football that’s probably a good thing. Sheffield Utd has described Ched as the new Alan Shearer. So after he’s retired he’ll become a manager and get his old club relegated? Fine with me, as long as the old club in question is Manchester City.

Swansea City 0-1 Nottingham Forest
I told you, Swansea. Start David Cottterill. And did you listen to me? No. And did you win? No. But as Cardiff are my Welsh team I’m not too upset. David did come off the bench in the second half but it was a bit late by then. Ashley Williams was the only Welsh player to start and he was lucky not to be credited with Forest’s goal. David Cornell and Joe Allen stayed on the bench.
Chris Gunter got another clean sheet but Rob Earnshaw, insanely, was kept on the bench. Oh well I suppose 1-0 gets you exactly the same number of points as 4-0…

Watford 0-1 Derby County

Derby need wins like Robbie Savage needs a haircut (not really Robbie, I love your hair) so this away one was very useful.
