Charlton 4-4 Millwall
Millwall’s Jason Price missed out on this four-goal thriller when Kenny Jackett opted to leave him on the bench. Charlton’s Grant Basey however got the full experience of coming back from 2-0 down to lead 4-3 only for Millwall to grab a late equaliser. More a game for the neutrals, this one.
Exeter 1-0 Southend
Richard Duffy got himself involved in an on-pitch boxing match. He ended up on the floor and was therefore allowed to stay on the pitch. Not his best moment but at least he has a clean sheet to console him.
Gillingham 3-1 Stockport County
Owain Fon Williams and Christian Ribeiro were on the losing side as Stockport lost yet again. Relegation looks like a certainty but Owain and Christian might not be around to experience it. Christian is only on-loan and Owain could be sold to raise some much-needed cash.
Hartlepool 1-1 Yeovil Town
Shaun MacDonald was hoping for another goal to mark his final game for Yeovil but it wasn’t to be. But he could have the chance to remedy that if he joins Yeovil permanently in the transfer window.
Leeds United 1-0 Southampton
It’s not clear why Sam Vokes wasn’t in Leeds’ squad but in the event they didn’t need him. Lloyd James and Southampton worked hard to keep the league leaders at bay and were unlucky to get nothing from the game.
Milton Keynes Dons 0-1 Brentford
Jermaine Easter had a number of chances for MK Dons but it just wasn’t his day. Lewis Price managed to get in Brentford’s matchday squad for once although he only got as far as the bench. But it is likely that Lewis’ inclusion was the reason for the non-appearance of James Wilson. At the moment, Brentford have more loanees than sense. But who cares about sense when you’ve got three points?
