Ryan Giggs won BBC Sports Personality of the Year last night and I'm very happy for him. He's a great sportsman and a great person and I believe he deserves to have a BBC Sports Personality of the Year award among his many other awards.
It is a shame for the other contestants though. Although Ryan has done very well, 2009 hasn't been his best year and there were many other deserving candidates who missed out.
I am thrilled for Ryan though and proud to see the award go to a Welshman.
