Blackpool 2-3 West Bromwich Albion
Blackpool looked like they’d snatched a point after 80 minutes but a controversial penalty for West Brom followed six minutes later and Graham Dorrans didn’t miss (he looks a completely different player than the one who played for Scotland as they lost to Wales in that friendly I will not shut up about because it’s not like I have all that many Wales wins to feel smug about).
Some sources cite Rob Edwards as the player to concede the penalty while others prefer to blame one of his team-mates but most Blackpool fans seem to feel the officials were most at fault. Rob nearly scored early on but it’s just great for Blackpool to have a centre back who can get into these positions. If he had scored, David Vaughan would have got the assist – but it’s encouraging for both Blackpool and Wales fans to see the players working so well together.
Daniel Nardiello was on the bench but as BBC Sport decided to stop working, I can’t tell you if he came off the bench or not. Neal Eardley missed the match after failing to recover from his hamstring injury.
