Championship Fixtures 6th February Part 2

Ipswich Town v Middlesbrough
Rhys Williams probably won't be ready to return from his pelvic injury but Middlesbrough should have Danny Coyne in goal.

Nottingham Forest v Sheffield Wednesday
Nottingham Forest’s long unbeaten run came to an end last week in the worst possible way – a defeat to rivals Derby County. Robert Earnshaw has been on great form for Forest but as he didn’t score last week he could find himself dropped again. Chris Gunter will almost certainly play. He’s probably had five yellow cards by now but he won’t be suspended until he’s reached ten bookings.

Peterborough United v Queen’s Park Rangers
Craig Morgan has finally completed his four-match suspension and QPR are in a bit of a mess so this is one match Peterborough could win.

Plymouth Argyle v West Bromwich Albion

Plymouth captain Carl Fletcher will be hoping the second-bottom team can get some much-needed points against the team in second place.

Sheffield United v Derby County

Derby beat high-flying Nottingham Forest last week. Sheffield United, in theory, should be a much easier prospect. Especially if Ched Evans is left on the bench again. Derby captain Robbie Savage has started his coaching badges which is really good to hear. He probably doesn’t need to do them. Even in the Premier League, it’s possible to become a manager without doing your coaching badges. But it’s great to see someone doing them anyway, aiming to be the best coach he can be. And I think I’m in love with his wife.

Swansea City v Preston North End
Ashley Williams, Joe Allen and David Cotterill are all in with a chance of starting for Swansea but knowing Paolo Sousa they’re also in with a chance of being on the bench. So maybe one day soon it will be the goalkeeper’s turn to be dropped and that will give David Cornell a chance. David (Cornell) has just signed a new contract so the manager obviously likes him.
