League Two Results 6th February

Accrington Stanley 3-2 Morecambe
Darren Moss stayed on the bench as his side Morecambe lost 3-2.

Bournemouth 0-0 Cheltenham Town
Bournemouth loanee Rhoys Wiggins helped Bournemouth to keep a clean sheet and he was unlucky not to get an assist with a good cross. Rhoys wanted Bournemouth to win every game while he was on-loan but even just an unbeaten run would be great for them. Joe Partington again missed Bournemouth's match with a back injury. Josh Low played the full match for Cheltenham and could have got them a winner.

Bradford City 0-1 Bury
Michael Flynn played the full match for Bradford as they found themselves on the losing side again. It could have been so different if that defender’s legs hadn’t got in the way of Michael’s shot.

Burton Albion 1-0 Port Vale
Tony James played well in Burton’s defence as they kept a clean sheet and won the match. Vale were without the suspended Lewis Haldane but loan striker Craig Davies played and nearly scored but his effort hit the post. Defender Gareth Owen also played.

Chesterfield 2-1 Lincoln City

Robert Page played the full match for Chesterfield as they fought to beat struggling Lincoln. The play-offs look like a definite probability – any team that has a goalkeeper like Mark Crossley on the bench can’t be too bad.

Dagenham & Redbridge 0-1 Northampton Town
Tony Roberts only let in one goal but Dagenham & Redbridge were again on the losing side. Peter Gilbert played in defence for Northampton.

Hereford United 1-0 Torquay United
Hereford aren’t in that much danger of relegation - even 21st-placed Torquay haven’t got too much to worry about just yet - but wins are never unwelcome. The two Welsh defenders called Ryan were missing – Ryan Green recovering from a hernia operation and Ryan Valentine suspended – but Darren Jones were there and he not only did his job defending, he got the assist for their goal.

Macclesfield Town 0-1 Shrewsbury Town
Both sides decided to leave their Welsh players on the bench. Shrewsbury – who are looking pretty solid in the relegation zone - seemed to manage fine without Will Richards but perhaps Macclesfield were missing Matthew Tipton.
