Colchester United 2-1 Carlisle United
Christian Ribeiro did not recover from his groin injury in time to play for his loan side against Carlisle but after a goal in the final minute, Colchester managed to take all three points.
Leyton Orient 5-0 Bristol Rovers
It would be unfair and wrong to say Orient’s good form of late is entirely due to the loan signing Nicky Adams but you can’t say he hasn’t played his part. Byron Anthony kept his place in Bristol Rovers’ defence but I do kind of feel there will be changes before the next match although whether Byron will be the one to go, I couldn’t say. It’s true that Byron deflected one of Orient’s goals into the net but that doesn’t mean he was responsible for the other four. Ben Swallow replaced Aaron Lescott after 33 minutes but Orient were just too good.
Walsall 1-1 Charlton Athletic
Charlton’s poor form continued in this match that had very little Welsh talent on display. Walsall’s Rhys Weston was the only one to start but he was worryingly substituted after 8 minutes. His team-mate Mark Bradley spent the game on the bench while Charlton’s Grant Basey didn’t appear until the 89th minute.
