Cardiff City v Doncaster
Cardiff looked severely weakend when Joe Ledley left them for Celtic but the presence of loanees Craig Bellamy and Jason Koumas make them a very definte force to be reckoned with. Let’s hope they can start showing it soon! Doncaster are currently ahead of Cardiff in the table but only on goal difference. Craig will start the match and wear the captain’s armband.
Jason missed Cardiff’s last match due to illness but he is expected to be on the bench this time. Darcy Blake deserves to keep his place in Cardiff’s starting line-up but he’ll be hoping James Collins and Danny Gabbidon aren’t next on Cardiff’s list of targets. Just in case. Adam Matthews should also be in the squad but Aaron Wildig has a knee injury.
Vital Cardiff City have selected Doncaster captain Brian Stock as an opposition player to watch in this fixture. Doncaster will be without John Oster, who isn’t ready to return after a knee operation although he should return to training next week.
Crystal Palace v Ipswich Town
Palace will be hoping to get back on track following last week’s defeat to Barnsley. Ipswich spent the first part of last season looking for a win – so far, they are without a defeat. They’ll definitely want to keep that going.
Andy Dorman should play for Palace. Lewis Price is hoping to become their new No. 1 at some stage but this match is perhaps just a little early.
Troy Brown should be back in Ipswich’s squad after recovering from an ankle injury.
