League One Fixtures 21st August 2010 Part 2

Notts County v Dagenham & Redbridge
Notts County were hoping to be challenging for promotion but instead their bottom of the league – although a win tomorrow could in theory lift them to 8th though that probably isn’t possible due to who’s playing who. Dag & Red are like the League One version of Blackpool. Like County, they have no points but they will probably be the less pressured of the two sides going into this match.
Ben Davies will probably play in midfield for County. He’s still looking for his first goal and assist. Not that any of his team-mates have scored yet.
Tony Roberts will be in goal for Dagenham.

Peterborough United v Huddersfield Town
Peterborough are in mid-table while Huddersfield are up in third – but I’m sure Peterborough won’t be overly worried.
Arron Davies could be in line to start for Peterborough.

Rochdale v Colchester United

Rochdale still haven’t won in the league but they did beat Barnsley so they can’t be too bad. Colchester haven’t won either which really wasn’t the case this time last season. Was it, Norwich City?
Lloyd James hasn’t played much more than half an hour for Colchester this season but that’s more than Lee Beevers and Tom Bender can say.

Southampton v Leyton Orient
True, Southampton are higher in the table than they were this time last season, when their points were in the minuses. But that’s really all you can say. The title favourites have the same number of points as the UK got in the 2003 Eurovision Song Contest. Leyton Orient have the same number of points as Southampton but that’s probably not such a surprise.
Ryan Doble might be on the bench for Southampton but then again, he might not. I don’t think Anthony Pulis will either. He seems to be about as popular as Jemini. But I still like him.

Swindon Town v Brentford
Brentford are in the relegation places but losing play-off finalists Swindon are only one point better off.
This match could have seen two of Wales’ unwanted midfielders facing each other but Swindon have said they don’t want poor Owain Tudur Jones either.
But Nicky Adams is now a Brentford player and could make his debut.
