Premier League Results 28th August 2010 Part 2

Tottenham Hotspur 0-1 Wigan Athletic
Tottenham are in the Champions’ League. Wigan will probably be in a competition next year that begins with the letters ‘Champions’ but it won’t be the one Tottenham are in now. It wasn’t a great game for Wigan as they really should have scored a more goals but they got the three points and that’s the important thing.
Gareth Bale started off at left midfield, then he was moved to left back after some disastrous defending from Benoit Assou-Ekotto.

Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-1 Newcastle United

The general feeling is that if you’re a team beginning with W or a team who’s just come up for the Championship, you’re going to have problems this season. But I think these two will be all right. Yet Wolves are in the top two and Newcastle only a place behind. There’s a long way to go but there have been good signs from both teams this season.
David Jones played 72 minutes for Wolves and nearly scored again but Wayne Hennessey and Dave Edwards were both on the bench.
