Championship Fixtures 21st August 2010 Part 1

Coventry City v Derby County
Both teams failed in a play-off challenge last season but since a promising win over Leeds United, Derby haven’t won another game - not even the Carling Cup one against Crewe Alexandra - whilst Coventry have had similar problems with Morecambe.
BBC Sport thinks Freddy Eastwood needs to watch his back as Coventry’s other strikers are after his place. Even though Freddy is one of the top Championship scorers.
Robbie Savage is set to make is 100th appearance for Derby. New sigining Gareth Roberts might never catch him up.

Leeds United v Millwall
Leeds finished ahead of Millwall in last year’s League One but only by a point and Millwall did the double over them. So they’ll be out for revenge while Millwall are looking to consolidate their place at the top of the table – something they probably didn’t expect to be doing.
Sanchez Watt was not charged for his part in last weeks foot-stepping incident with Nottingham Forest’s Chris Gunter so I expect he’ll play for Leeds.
Unlike Sanchez, Steve Morison has grabbed the opportunity to play for Wales and is in the squad to place Montenegro. And if he’s not in the squad to face Leeds, I’ll be very very surprised. Not to mention worried.

Bristol City v Barnsley
Bristol City haven’t won a single match this season – and this includes pre-season fixtures, or at least the ones featured on their BBC Sport Results page. Barnsley have done quite a lot better than Bristol City but you’d think Bristol City have a chance of beating the team who was knocked out of the Carling Cup by Rochdale.
Lewin Nyatanga (knee), James Wilson (also knee) and Sam Vokes (hamstring) are all out but Christian Ribeiro (shoulder) played part of a reserve match this week and could join Gavin Williams in the Bristol City squad. If Gavin plays, this will be his 200th club career appearance.

Burnley v Leicester City
Burnley are up in eighth place – not that this means very much at this stage of the season but Leicester so far have just one point to their name. Luckily for them, that doesn’t mean much at this stage of the season either.
Nicky Adams won’t be in Leicester’s squad for the simple reason that he is now a Brentford player. But Andy King is still all theirs.
