Welsh Transfers
There were a number of Welsh players featuring in the transfer gossip, with Wigan Athletic’s Jason Koumas linked with a move too Cardiff City, several clubs apparently showing interest in Stockport County goalkeeper Owain fon Williams and Birmingham City refusing to admit defeat in their attempts to take Gareth Bale on loan from Tottenham Hotspur.
But with Jason too expensive, Owain playing for the team on the worst run in the League, and Gareth not only playing for Tottenham but regularly being named Man of the Match, the window closed with very little Welsh action having taken place.
And these three weren’t the only players to be linked with moves here there and everywhere. Perhaps some of the following had a little bit of truth in them but the majority of them could well have been complete bollocks.
