Championship Results 6th March Part 1

Blackpool 1-0 Ipswich Town
Neal Eardley and Rob Edwards returned to the starting line-up, from injury and suspension respectively, while David Vaughan kept his place in midfield. Ian Holloway tried some new tactics against Roy Keane’s side and it seemed to work. Blackpool continue their play-off bid while Ipswich continue their staying-up bid.

Bristol City 2-5 Doncaster Rovers
To their credit, Bristol City did try to fight back. They equalised twice before Doncaster finally overpowered them.
Lewin Nyatanga played in defence for Bristol City with Gavin Williams and James Wilson unused options on the bench.
Doncaster were missing their injured captain Brian Stock but Gareth Roberts and John Oster played well. Gareth could have added to the score tally and it was John who forced Bristol City’s own goal, which ironically came from the man who had scored Bristol City’s two. So it was a hat-trick for Bradley Orr, all in the same goal-net but sadly not for the same team.
Doncaster’s new loan signing Jay Emmanuel-Thomas from Arsenal showed that his parent club’s future striker problems could be more about having too many than too few.
