Ryan Giggs to come out of retirement?

There has been a lot of talk about bringing Ryan Giggs out of retirement to replace Aaron Ramsey. It would be really amazing if he could do this. Ryan is still a brilliant player. But his continued brilliance is partly because he’s been able to rest during international breaks. Even as a short-term solution – Aaron could be out until next year – Ryan could end up playing quite a lot of matches which could affect his club career. Not that I care about Manchester United but I do care about Ryan.

If Ryan makes the decision himself to come out of retirement and play for Wales again, I for one would welcome him with open arms. It would be fantastic to see him playing for Wales again and his presence would give us a greater chance of qualifying for Euro 2012.

But if he doesn’t make this decision, I will love him just the same. Ryan has given so much of his career to Wales already. It would be unfair to ask for any more from him.
