League One Results 6th March Part 2

Norwich City 3-0 Yeovil Town
Norwich continue to storm towards the title. Owain Tudur Jones is back from his loan to Yeovil but, despite a good performance in the reserves this week, was spared having to play against the players who was his team-mates last week.
Arron Davies and Shaun MacDonald both started for Yeovil. Shaun couldn’t repeat last week’s wonder strike but I’m sure he will before his loan comes to an end. At least once.

Swindon 0-4 Bristol Rovers
Bristol Rovers can be like that sometimes. They lose to the most embarrassing teams then they deliver a thrashing to a promotion contender. I’m sure this isn’t the first time it’s happened.
Byron Anthony played in defence for Bristol Rovers and played a big part in the second goal. Ben Swallow stayed on the bench, with Bristol Rovers only making one substitution. Why fix what’s working so brilliantly?
I’m not sure if Rovers have the consistency to get into the play-offs themselves but I’m sure they’ll enjoy having a say in who does get there.

Tranmere Rovers 2-1 Southampton

Tranmere moved further from the relegation places as they beat League One’s form team. Both were without their Welsh representatives. Tranmere’s Ash Taylor is out with a hamstring injury while Southampton’s Lloyd James has a problem with his ankle. Both should be back soon though.

Walsall 2-2 Millwall
Walsall went 2-0 up but Millwall weren’t about to let their promotion hopes slip away as easily as all that, and got the equaliser in the third minute of stoppage time. It’s only a point but it was enough to put them in the play-off places and Kenny Jackett was (more or less) happy with a point, and keen to point out it’s the first time they’ve conceded two goals for a while.
Rhys Weston started for Walsall but worryingly he was replaced at half-time. Mark Bradley was on the bench.
