FA Cup Sixth Round Results 7th March

Chelsea 2-0 Stoke City
Chelsea managed to beat Stoke City after finally doing what no other club has done and working out how to deal with the Rory Delap throws. First of all, they must have shown the towel the red card because I didn’t see it anyway. Secondly, they tried jumping up and heading it rather than just standing there in admiration.
Danny Collins started in defence for Stoke. Ryan Shawcross was suspended.

Reading 2-4 Aston Villa

When the teams disappeared into the tunnel at half-time, it really looked like it was going to happen again. Reading were 2-0 up. Aston Villa hadn’t even showed up. But it took Villa just twelve minutes after the break to take the lead, before John Carew completed his hat-trick with a penalty.
Simon Church started for Reading and I think he might have scared Villa’s defence a little bit. Well they can’t say James Collins didn’t warn them.
