Welsh Player News (and rumours) 2nd August Scottish/Irish

Aberdeen manager Mark McGhee wants to sign trialist Grant Basey but he needs to sort out some financial issues first.

Joe Ledley is loving life at Celtic. He missed the defeat to Arsenal in the Emirates Cup due to a knock. Celtic came back from 3-0 down but Arsenal just about hung on for once.

I was all ready to write about Rhys Weston joining Motherwell – only to find he’s signed for Dundee instead. He’s thrilled to be living with his family again and he hopes to get Dundee back into the Premier League.

Kyle Letheren doesn’t seem to like Motherwell much either. They didn’t let him play once and he’s in talks with Kilmarnock now.

David Stephens played the full match for Hibernian as they lost 1-0 to Jason Price’s Carlisle United.

Matthew Tipton
has signed for Dundalk following an unsuccessful trial with Bradford City. His debut was a 1-0 defeat to Sligo Rovers.
