Welsh Player News (and rumours) 2nd August, League Two (Part 2)

Rhys Taylor won’t have endeared himself to some of his fellow Welshmen when his clean sheet helped his loan side Crewe Alexandra to a 2-0 victory over Wrexham. Declan Walker came close to taking an early lead for Wrexham but Rhys got in his way. Kevin Gall also started with Johnny Hunt and trialist Jamie Tolley coming off the bench.

Stuart Fleetwood scored for Hereford United in a 6-2 victory over Neath Athletic. He, Ryan Green and Ryan Valentine all played the full match.

Northampton Town are on the look-out for a new keeper. Their first-choice keeper is injured and although Paul Walker has been doing just fine in the pre-season matches – he was in goal for their 2-2 draw with Birmingham City - he is only 18.

Owain fon Williams played in goal for Stockport – and wore the captain’s armband for some of the match – when they beat Glossip North End 3-0.
