Championship Fixtures 6th March Part 3

Nottingham Forest v Swansea City
Swansea are the only Championship side to remain unbeaten in 2010 but Nottingham Forest have won their last nine home games. Something’s got to give.
Chris Gunter and Robert Earnshaw got through the Wales match unscathed, except perhaps for their pride. I bet Rob will be on the bench again but maybe he’ll come off the bench and score again. With an assist from Chris.
Chris says he isn’t surprised by Swansea’s success this season but the Cardiff City fan is hoping for a home win. Rob sees Swansea as a real threat to Forest’s hope of finishing second.
Swansea are without Joe Allen (knee) but Ashley Williams played for Wales despite a dead leg although it looks like he’ll be fit to play. David Cotterill damaged a hamstring playing for Wales and is out. Paolo Sousa is so annoyed, he says he’ll try to avoid signing Welsh players in future.

Peterborough United v Coventry City
Craig Morgan’s wish to play for Wales again came true but Peterborough’s survival hopes are another matter entirely. Not so long ago, Coventry are down their with them but Freddy Eastwood (who I think really should have been in the Wales squad) and his team-mates have got them up to two points from the play-offs.
Freddy has been named Southend’s Player of the Decade and he has not ruled out a return to the club one day.

Plymouth Argyle v Preston North En
d
Carl Fletcher believes Plymouth can survive and certainly most of their defeats have been close. But they have also been numerous and Plymouth are consequently in 23rd. On the positive side, Preston aren’t great away and they’re still without Paul Parry, perhaps for the rest of the season.

Sheffield Wednesday v Leicester City

Sheffield Wednesday are back in the relegation places but Leicester are well and truly back in the play-offs. Andy King stayed on the bench for Wales so he didn’t pick up any injuries and Nicky Adams is looking great whenever he comes off the bench. Although (and yes, I am hinting) he might look even better if he started…
