Andy King surely won’t be dropped from the team after some very good performances recently. Nicky Adams will be hoping to find a rare start in his Christmas stocking whilst Ched Evans is not certain to be fit following an ear infection.

Middlesbrough v Scunthorpe
Rhys Williams is likely to play at right back for Middlesbrough but Danny Coyne is unlikely to take over from Brad Jones in goal.

Preston North End v Barnsley
Not long ago Barnsley were fighting relegation and Preston were looking at promotion. Now Barnsley are doing well and Preston’s Paul Parry has every reason to be very afraid.

QPR v Bristol City
Rhys Taylor is likely to find himself on the bench again as QPR take on a Bristol City whose team includes Lewin Nyatanga and supersub Gavin Williams. (Well I think he’s super.)
