Premiership Results 27th December

Arsenal 3-0 Aston Villa
Aaron Ramsey replaced injured substitute Cesc Fabregas, who scored Arsenal’s first two goals. Aaron then played a big part in the third one. Some claim Aaron was playing on his birthday but I think his birthday was actually the day before. Anyway Aaron is now nineteen which sounds a lot older than eighteen so I don’t have to feel guilty about fancying him.
James Collins stayed on the bench for Villa. Despite the excellence of Richard Dunne and Carlos Cuellar I still think he’s their best central defender. But for this match, I was quite happy for him not to play.

Hull City 1-3 Manchester United
Hull keeper Boaz Myhill was caught out a few times by some of the best players in the world but he also produced some exceptionally good saves. And the match was a lot more even than the scoreline suggests. Ryan Giggs returned from a hamstring injury and played well for Man Utd, almost scoring in the first half.
