Burnley 1-1 Bolton Wanderers
Bolton made Sam Ricketts stay on the bench again as they drew with Burnley. This result really isn’t half as embarrassing as it sounds. Not when Burnley are playing at home.
Fulham 0-0 Tottenham Hotspur
Gareth Bale stayed on the bench and so maintained his 100% winning run. Harry Redknapp says he looks good and I can only agree with him. I love Gareth's hair.
Liverpool 2-0 Wolverhampton Wanderers
Wayne Hennessey was on the bench again for Wolves and Dave Edwards is still injured of course. Most say he has an ankle injury but there is an opinion that it’s actually his hamstring. It’s so easy to get those two mixed up.
Manchester City 2-0 Stoke City
Craig Bellamy didn’t start for Man City but he came on after for Robinho after 70 minutes. Despite his protests about the sacking of Mark Hughes, Roberto Mancini insists he likes him. That’s probably the safest way. And I’m talking about the Man City fans, not golf clubs.
Danny Collins was in the unenviable position of playing in defence for Stoke but he would have got an assist if Tuncay hadn’t put the ball over the bar. Ryan Shawcross’ groin wasn’t up to it so he wasn’t in the squad. Premiership Latest said he started but I’m sure he didn’t really.
West Ham 1-0 Portsmouth
Jack Collison played the full match as West Ham got a very important win over the team that beat Liverpool last week. Jack was very dangerous and nearly scored a hat-trick. Danny Gabbidon didn’t play due to a hamstring injury.
Wigan Athletic 1-1 Blackburn Rovers
Jason Koumas was left out of Wigan’s squad (no idea why) but Jason Brown was in his usual place for Blackburn (the bench).
