Milton Keynes Dons v Brentford
Not so long ago, Brentford were thinking of returning Lewis Price to Derby County and it’s true he’s hardly featured since the arrival of Arsenal’s Wojciech Szczesny – partly because there’s a limit to the number of loan players who can be in a matchday squad at the same time. However with Szczesny due to return to Arsenal after this match, Brentford fans are suddenly only too keen to keep Lewis.
James Wilson, another loanee, has been an unused substitute lately but it’s fair to say Brentford have struggled without the Bristol City defender.
But Lewis might not mind so much about not playing if Jermaine Easter starts for MK Dons.
Norwich City v Huddersfield Town
As far as I know Owain Tudur Jones and Rhoys Wiggins are still out so this will be a Welshless match.
Swindon Town v Brighton & Hove Albion
Brighton boss Gus Poyet will wait until the New Year before deciding whether to make Andrew Crofts the permanent captain or not. I think he should be captain but my opinion isn’t exactly an unbiased one. But he should play in this match whether he’s captain or not.
Tranmere Rovers v Bristol Rovers
Tranmere don’t have much to be happy about at the moment but at least they have Ash Taylor in the team. The versatile 19 year old is set to cover at centre back.
Maybe Byron Anthony and Rhys Evans should give up hope of a start for Bristol Rovers. Then they might enjoy it even more when it finally happens (which it will). Ben Swallow is likely to share the bench with them.
Walsall v Leyton Orient
Walsall need to score more goals in order to keep up their play-off bid – and Dwayne Mattis feels Mark Bradley will be a big help in this regard. Rhys Weston could play centre back instead of right back in order to cover for a suspension.
