Championship Results 24th April Part 3

Sheffield United 2-0 Swansea City
Sheffield United’s win dumped Swansea out of the play-off places, with Blackpool taking their place. Sheffield United are up to ninth, behind Middlesbrough on goal difference.
Ched Evans was on the bench again for Sheffield United and made a substitute appearance after 64 minutes. It was his first appearance since recovering from a collarbone injury.
Ashley Williams was Swansea’s only Welsh starter. Some people think the goal was his fault and maybe I do a bit too but that doesn’t mean we’re right. Former Sheffield United player David Cotterill came off the bench two minutes after the Blades’ first goal went in. A penalty from David helped keep Swansea out of the play-offs last year.
David Cornell and Joe Allen were also on the bench for Swansea but they stayed there.

Watford 3-0 Reading
Watford needed to take advantage of their not completely awful home form in order to stay up – and they did it with a game to spare. It was a great win for them and a deserved one.
Simon Church came off the bench after 61 minutes for Reading.
