Hereford United 0-1 Grimsby Town
Grimsby’s great escape plan has suffered a few setbacks but they’re not giving up yet, as they showed against Hereford – who must be feeling very glad they’ve already got 50 points.
Ryan Green, Ryan Valentine and Darren Jones all played for Hereford.
Lincoln City 2-1 Bournemouth
Lincoln could have been 22nd without this victory over Bournemouth but as it was, the vaguely relegation-threatened club managed to beat the club in 3rd. Bournemouth are six points clear of Aldershot Town and therefore could afford to drop the points although I’m sure they’d rather they hadn’t.
David Stephens wasn’t in Lincon’s squad. Rhoys Wiggins kept his place in Bournemouth’s starting eleven and deserves credit for an excellent free kick that became the assist for Bournemouth’s goal. Joe Partington was on the bench.
Morecambe 2-0 Rotherham United
These two clubs could well face one another again in the play-offs. Rotherham’s automatic promotion push seems to be over while Morecambe, who were looking out of it not that long ago, have pushed themselves back into 7th place on goal difference.
Darren Moss made a 92nd minute appearance for Morecambe.
Northampton Town 0-1 Notts County
Not long ago, Notts County weren’t even looking certain to make the play-offs. Now, after a good run from them and a poor run from Rochdale (this weekend they suffered a shocking 5-0 defeat to, er, Torquay United), Notts County are just two points behind the leaders with a game in hand. Despite the defeat, Northampton are still just a point outside the relegation zone.
Peter Gilbert played in defence for Northampton.
Port Vale 1-1 Aldershot Town
A point was enough to keep Aldershot in fourth place – and it’s probably also just about enough to keep Port Vale’s play-off hopes alive.
BBC Sport seem to blame Gareth Owen for Aldershot’s equaliser but the empty net might also have had something to do with it and you can’t entirely blame Gareth for that. Lewis Haldane and Craig Davies both started but were replaced in the 59th minute. It was Craig’s replacement who got Vale’s equaliser.

Don't forget Ben Davies of Notts County, he's played for the Welsh semi-pro side!

Thank you for your comment, I didn't know about Ben Davies. It's not always easy finding out about all the Welsh/Wales-eligible players, there seem to be hundreds of them! I really appreciate you letting me know :)
