League Two Results 5th April Part 2

Lincoln City 1-3 Morecambe
Morecambe’s win means they are just three points from the play-offs while Lincoln probably could just about still go down, if something really weird happened.
Lincoln loanee David Stephens was on the bench while Darren Moss was back in the starting line-up for Morecambe.

Northampton Town 0-0 Torquay United

Northampton dropped out of the play-off zone by only drawing with struggling Torquay United.
Peter Gilbert helped Northampton to keep a clean sheet with a great block but I bet the Northampton fans are still disappointed.

Port Vale 3-1 Dagenham & Redbridge

Port Vale are now five points behind the play-off places and maybe they could still do it. But so could Dagenham – they’re only behind Vale n goal difference.
Dag & Red opened the scoring in the 15th minute but Lewis Haldane was there to provide the equaliser just before half-time. Craig Davies provided the assist for the goal that put Port Vale ahead, before getting onto the scoresheet himself in the 78th minute. Craig says he doesn’t want to worry about next season and his future at Brighton & Hove Albion too much – he just wants to enjoy playing regular football and see about getting Port Vale into the top seven.
Gareth Owen also played for Port Vale, and Tony Roberts was in goal for Dag & Red.

Rochdale 0-0 Bournemouth
Bournemouth kept up their challenge for an automatic promotion place by holding leaders Rochdale to a draw. Bournemouth are in 3rd place, six points away from 4th placed Rotherham United.
Rhoys Wiggins says Bournemouth’s point is ‘massive’. I think you’ll find, Rhoys, that a draw against Rochdale gets you the same points as a draw against Darlington… or does it? If wins can be six-pointers, why can’t a draw be a two-pointer? Joe Partington joined Rhoys on the field after 57 minutes.

Shrewsbury Town 0-1 Notts County
Shrewsbury slipped further away from the play-offs when they were beaten by the team in second place.
There was no place in Shrewsbury’s squad for Will Richards.
