Christian Ribeiro (back) played 45 minutes for Bristol City’s reserves as they drew 1-1 with Cheltenham Town.

Sam Vokes’ debut at loan club Bristol City might not have gone as planned but he hasn’t been put off the club entirely. He’s having treatment at parent club Wolverhampton Wanderers at the moment but he’s looking forward to playing a part in Bristol City’s promotion push. If they have one.

Chris Gunter has been charged with violent conduct after stamping on Sanchez Watt. Chris has been given a three-match suspension and he has until 6pm tomorrow (18th August) to admit or deny the charge. The players clubs, Nottingham Forest and Leeds United, have both been charged with failing to control their players.

Sanchez Watt says Leeds United are confident ahead of next Saturday’s match against table-toppping Millwall. Leeds manager Simon Grayson is impressed with the striker, who is on loan from Arsenal.

Gordon Strachan needs to decide if he’s happy with goalkeepers Danny Coyne and Jason Steele or if he needs to bring someone else in.

Steve Morison is confident he can go on a scoring run for Millwall, currently top of the Championship.

Kenny Jackett is very happy with Millwall’s start to the season but he’s not getting carried away.

Hal Robson-Kanu and Jake Taylor both played the whole of Reading’s 1-1 friendly draw with Leyton Orient. Hal got the assist for Reading’s goal.

Gary Speed is delighted to have been named as the new manager of Sheffield United.
