Welsh Player News 24th August 2010

Craig Bellamy says he can’t get Cardiff promoted all on his own. But there’s more to come from him.

Either way, the fans love him.

Gary Speed thinks Craig can go back to the Premier League anytime he likes but Robbie Savage thinks Craig might prefer to stay at Cardiff City for the rest of his career. Cardiff manager Dave Jones says it’s far too early to think beyond next season. He thinks it’s a possibility if Cardiff get promoted but if this happens, would Manchester City be happy to sell Craig to Cardiff? And would Cardiff be able to afford him?

Doncaster Rovers chairman John Ryan isn’t very happy about Craig’s arrival at Cardiff City. Not because Cardiff beat them 4-0 (although it probably didn’t help) but the financial implications generally.

No surrise to hear that Craig is in the Championship Football League Team of the Week.

Is Craig the missing piece in the Cardiff jigsaw?

Or is he a cuddly piranha?

Bradford City’s Michael Flynn is going to have a groin operation tomorrow and will be ruled out for a month.
