Championship Result 15th August 2010

Nottingham Forest 1-1 Leeds United
A draw against promoted Leeds United means Nottingham Forest are still without a win this season. Not that Leeds are any better off, except for being three places above Forest, which means very little at this stage of the season.
I would love for Leeds’ Sanchez Watt to play for Wales but one player who probably won’t be welcoming him with open arms is Chris Gunter. The pair clashed after one stamped on the other, who was less than thrilled and retaliated in kind. I’m not quite sure what happened as everyone has a different viewpoint but I think Sanchez stood on Chris’ foot first, either accidentally or on purpose depending on who you support, and Chris might have stamped on Sanchez’ foot to get his own back or he might just have let Sanchez know he didn’t appreciate the gesture. Both clubs are advising the FA to look into the incident further.
It was a shame really as the match had started so promisingly for Chris when he set up the goal that put Forest ahead. He was a threat throughout the game (but I do just mean his football skills). Robert Earnshaw came close to scoring for Forest but the most important thing is that he probably didn’t stamp on anybody.
