Aberdeen haven’t signed former Charlton Athletic defender Grant Basey yet but manager Mark McGhee says he’ll get it sorted soon and Grant isn’t going anywhere. I think that’s what Charlton thought too.
FC Utrecht play Celtic in an Europa League play-off match – and Joe Ledley is the player who’s got them quaking in their football boots. They will probably be even more scared if Craig Bellamy joins the club, as Joe hopes he will.
Joe played as Celtic beat Inverness Caledonian Thistle 1-0 away.
David Stephens was a substitute for Hibernian when they faced Motherwell but he made his presence felt when he got on the line to deny Motherwell a last-minute equaliser. Hibernian won 3-2 away. I just hope David likes being referred to as ‘Big David Stephens’ because his manager keeps on doing it!
Kyle Letheren has signed a one-year contract with Kilmarnock.
Rhys Weston has an ankle injury and was unable to play for Dundee against Partick Thistle. Home side Partick won 1-0. Dundee have won all their competitive matches with Rhys in the side apart from the one where he left after 17 minutes Dundee play Ross County on Saturday.
