Championship Results 28th August 2010 Part 3

Sheffield United 1-0 Preston North End
Gary Speed helped Sheffield United to climb the table a little away with his first win as a manager. Preston are out of the bottom three but only just.
Gary picked fellow Welshman Ched Evans to start but the goal wasn’t his although he did come very close.
Craig Morgan played the full match for Preston but Paul Parry wasn’t in the squad.

Swansea City 1-0 Burnley
Both sides were reduced to ten men as Swansea ended Burnley’s unbeaten run and haul themselves into the top half.
Neil Taylor made his first league start for Swansea with Ashley Williams and David Cotterill, who had a particularly good game, also in the starting line-up. Joe Allen replaced David when he was substitured. David Cornell and Jazz Richards were both unusued substitutes.

Watford 0-1 Leeds United
Another win for Leeds puts them into the top six while Watford, who won their opening two games but haven’t won since.
Jonathan Bond wasn’t on the bench for Watford so presumably the second-choice keeper is now fit.
Sanchez Watt started for Leeds and probably should have scored.
