Championship Fixtures 18th September 2010 Part 1

Bristol City v Coventry City
Bristol City finally got their first win of the season a few days ago. Is it too soon for another? If they lose again, they’ll have lost the same number of games as they did last season. Coventry only have only one two of their last eighteen matches. It sounds impossible and there have been a lot of draws but my (probably dodgy) records suggest this is correct.
Brett Pitman is still waiting for his first Bristol City goal but he has only been there five mnutes. Christian Ribeiro could be on the bench again after scoring for Bristol City reserves in a 2-1 win over Hereford United reserves. Lewin Nyatanga (knee) also played but he might not be ready for first-team action.
The match will also come too soon for loanee Sam Vokes, who has a hamstring injury. James Wilson (knee) won’t play again this season.
Coventry’s Freddy Eastwood is still out with a knee injury.

Crystal Palace v Burnley
Crystal Palace won their second game of the season in midweek but as they were only playng Portsmouth, that might not have given them much confidence. Something that might help them is that Burnley, despite boasting an impeccablt home record, are yet to win away this season.
Andy Dorman was back in the starting line-up for Palace last week so let’s hope he keeps his place. Lewis Price will be on the bench.
