Welsh Player News 9th September 2010 (League Two)

Chesterfield striker Craig Davies is glad he’s in the same team as Jack Lester.

Chelsea have allowed Crewe Alexandra to extend Rhys Taylor’s loan. Rhys is Vital Crewe’s Player of the Month for August.

Northampton manager Ian Sampson says he’d be happy for Paul Walker to play in goal if the first-choice goalkeeper is injured.

Rhys Day will be back in light training next week. The Oxford defender has missed the season so far with a knee injury. Once he’s fit, he’s likely to go out on loan.

Robbie Earle wishes Port Vale’s Lewis Haldane all the best. He says he knows what Lewis is going through.

Peter Gilbert
says he isn’t worried about getting a hostile reception from his former side Northampton Town when they play his current side Southend United at the weekend.

Owain fon Williams could sent out on loan from Stockport County just weeks after the manager told everyone he was a great goalkeeper. Championship sides Leeds United, Middlesbrough, Norwich City and Swansea City are said to be interested. But whether they want him to start, I don’t know.
