Championship Fixtures 25th September 2010 Part 1

Cardiff City v Millwall
I want both these teams to win but somehow I don’t think that will be possible. Both teams recently lost their unbeaten records but while Cardiff are only without a win in their last two games, Millwall’s most recent win was back in August. Cardiff have not beaten Millwall in the league for 27 years.
Cardiff are still without star striker Craig Bellamy, who has a knee injury. His participation in Wales’ upcoming qualifiers must be in doubt too.
Darcy Blake should keep his place in Cardiff’s starting line-up after being the only player to win praise from his manager when they lost to Ipswich last weekend. Adam Matthews, on the other hand, was on the receiving end of most of the manager’s very public anger following an unfortunate own goal. If he hasn’t displayed the necessary ‘brightness’ to get back into the starting line-up, we can only blame one person. And it isn’t Adam.
Jason Koumas continues to build up match fitness but he’s likely to be involved in part of the game, as could Aaron Wildig, who did very well in his most recent substitute appearance.
Steve Morison should start for Millwall.

Burnley v Bristol City
Burnley hope to continue their excellent start to the season and while Bristol City’s only win of the season did come away, they were only playing Scunthorpe United.
Christian Ribeiro left the field early in Bristol City’s last match due to a calf injury but he should be fit for this game. Brett Pitman should be in the squad but he could keep his place on the bench considering that’s where he was when Bristol City got their first win.
Lewin Nyatanga and James Wilson both have dodgy knees but while James is out for the season, Lewin could return after playing in the reserves. Loanee Sam Vokes (hamstring) is not ready to return.
